BRIEFING

Miranda Bike Parts is a Portuguese brand specialized in the development of high quality parts for bicycles, mainly electric, with more than 65 years in the market.
However, despite having premium brands with KTM, SCOTT, HAIBIKE, MONDRAKER and CANYON, the company was not well known to the end consumer, which was reflected in a low conversion rate in the online store.

    STRATEGY

    One of the key aspects of an Online Store is to reduce shopping cart abandonment rates by improving conversion rates. Although the company already had an online store, its conversion rate was very reduced.

    In this way, an e-commerce strategy was developed based on three axes:

  • Development of an online store with the objective of increasing sales and conversion;
  • Development of a content strategy - based on an integrated Digital Marketing strategy;
  • Wager on a SEM strategy: develop platform SEO and campaigns in Google Adwords.

    ONLINE STORE

    A new online store was developed in prestashop, to ensure easy navigation, a good positioning in the search engines, an easy checkout and a high store conversion rate (ability to transform visitors into effective customers).
    Among the main differences between the current store and the previous one, the added conversion tools stand out, namely:

  • Implementation of pop-up registration with discount offer;
  • Implementation of cart recovery via email;
  • Email marketing campaigns with marketing automation;
  • Remarketing campaigns (on Google and Facebook);
  • Implementation of conversion codes for all online actions - to help measure the performance of the developed actions;
  • Development of an on-site campaign module: discount campaigns, Free Shipping, bundles, among others.
  • Other optimizations were implemented in terms of process and optimization, such as:

  • Reduction of checkout pages for single page checkout;
  • Highlight payment methods and security certificates;
  • Addition of comment and product rating zone;
  • Adding high quality and interactive images of products;
  • Text optimization for the search engines;

    A digital media plan was drawn up based on two axes:

  • Campaigns dedicated to daily online conversion for users who show interest in products sold by the company. The plan consists of ads on the Google search engine, remarketing banners (to keep the brand fresh in the minds of recent website visitors), and ads on different websites that are part of the Google Display Network.
  • Seasonal campaigns to increase brand awareness in strategic markets. The plan is made up of Google in-display ads, Youtube video campaigns and email marketing.

    RESULTS

    Within the new store´s first year, there was an increase of orders of 866.67%. Due to the online advertising campaigns, not only the traffic but also the online channel turnover, has been growing exponentially.
